I though the film invictus touched on some important issues, such as: discrimination, trust, raising moral of a country and communicating with people. Nelson Mandela inspired me somewhat by how he got to know individuals and treated all people as equals. In the beginning Nelson Mandela immediately started mixing his body guards(Black and White) by doing so he set an example to the whole county of South Africa that he was fair. As well Nelson Mandela would constantly get involved with the public by, shaking there hand and learning there names. As well Nelson Mandela supported the South African Rugby team by getting to know the players personally, this act raised their moral leading them to victory in the Rugby World Cup and ran a country at the same time. However, one of the most shocking things about Nelson Mandela was his forgiveness, he innocently was sent to prison for thirty years by whites and when he gets out as an old man he employes whites and forgives them, this I think is amazing.
